Silver Creek Village Community Garden Rules & Responsibilities
The Community Garden is a shared space where residents can cultivate their own garden plots while contributing to a thriving and respectful gardening environment. There are currently 48 boxes, and they will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Submit your request to reserve your box today! To ensure a positive experience for all participants, gardeners must adhere to the following rules and responsibilities. By registering for a garden plot, each gardener agrees to comply with these guidelines:
Seasonal Garden— This request covers the current growing season. There is an Annual Registration, where gardeners must apply and register for a garden space each year.
Payment of Fees – Fees for garden plots will be waived for the first year as we establish use and interest.
Garden Maintenance – Gardeners are responsible for planting, cultivating, watering, and maintaining their own plots. Homeowners may be held liable for damages to the watering hoses or drip lines provided from personal misuse.
Chemical Restrictions – The use of chemical weed killers, pesticides, and fertilizers is strictly prohibited.
Weed Control – Weeds within garden plots must not exceed six inches in height.
Respectful Conduct – Disrespectful or abusive language, as well as destructive behavior, will result in immediate loss of gardening privileges and forfeiture of any remaining crops.
Pest & Wildlife Disclaimer – Silver Creek Village HOA is not responsible for crop loss due to animals, rodents, pests, or other natural causes.
End-of-Season Cleanup – The growing season concludes on October 25th. Gardeners must remove all plant materials, leaving only soil behind. Failure to clean out a plot may result in a removal fee and loss of gardening privileges for the following season.

Waiver of Liability:
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Silver Creek Village Community Garden, I ___________________________________________________(Gardener), do hereby, for myself, my executors and administrators, release and discharge the owner(s) of land used in connection with Silver Creek Village Owners Association, its employees and from any and all liability for bodily harm or damage or loss of whatever kind arising from, or in any manner or form connected with the Silver Creek Village Community Garden Gardening Program.
